        hi,

        i have tried the cataloging it was working but i found one more thing
        while
        alter database open command it showed error as shown in listing below so i had to run following cammand
        recover database from tag TAG20130416T090642; after that every thing was ok.

        1) i would like to know is it(recover database from tag TAG20130416T090642;) required ?

        2) are the steps taken by me are correct
        what i did is i copied bakup set and autobackup folder for 2013_04_16 and then run the backup command again
        on 19 apr 2013 , that deleted 2013_04_16 bakup set and its auto backup . then i copied them again from by backup
        and carried out following commands.

        so i wanted to know this what u watned me to follow or is there any thing i am missing.

          RESTORE DATABASE FROM <TAG>
          RECOVER DATABASE;
          ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS;
          What happens if you do it this way?
