    Hello,

The KM document "Troubleshooting Sun StorageTek 2500, Sun Storage 2500-M2, Sun Storage 6000: Volume Not on Preferred Path (Doc ID 1136186.1)" is available in My Oracle Support (https://support.oracle.com).

    Dear Nicolas,

Thanks you very much for your help.

Your document is very good. Please kindly help to give advice on my diagnosis below:

    Storage has 2 controllers
    Controller A: vol1
    Controller B: vol2, vol3, vol4

After problem come up, I mention that vol3 and vol4 on Controller B automatically moved to Controller A.

    1.     Why some of volumes on controller B are moved to controller A and a volume is not moved?

    2.     Why after vol3 and vol4 change preferred controller, they make controller A got error as below?

    3.     Why after they are completely moved to controller A, vol3 cannot access and shown disk unformatted as below and vol4 is working fine? Is it possible cause from volume is changed preferred controller?

    4.     Is possible to fix this problem by Redistribute Volume in CAM? Any affect to data when action is done?
