        Very strong argument, but for first 16 tables. All next tables will start from 1MB, then 8MB, then 64MB initial extent anyway, correct?
        I think that you misunderstand AUTOALLOCATE.

        The "first 16" (and subsequent) extent sizes rule is per object (segment).

        Table A starts with 64KB extents and allocates 16 extents till it hits a size of 1MB. It then starts using 1MB extents and so on.
        At the same time, Table B in the same tablespace also starts with 64KB extents and allocates 16 extents till it hits a size of 1MB .. and so on.
        Thus you could have a few thousand tables all with 64KB extents (between 1 and 16 such extents each) in the same tablespace.
