Error when log into Workspace 11.1.2.2

    User540719 - Oracle
      Hi All,

After install and set the foundation settings, I am getting the following error when log into Workspace.

      URI: http://server-dsv1:28080/raframework/conf/ToolsConfig.xml

      Status: 404 - Not Found

It seems the RAFRamework service is not started, but I've already checked out and all services are up and running. I've already tried to redeploy the foundation components in order to get it working but the error message still persists.

Does someone could help me on that ?

      Thanks is advance,

      Alvaro

What url are you using to log into workspace? Are you using the web server port , eg. 19000?

Which web server are you using? If it is OHS then use the default port of 19000 for workspace, if it is the embedded then workspace can be accessed on port 28080, also make sure you have configured the web server component last.

              Cheers

the uRI you have has raframework on port 28080 and that's not where it listens. RAFramework listens on port 45000. If you are trying to go to workspace you should open port http://server:19000/workspace if you are using OHS on port 19000 or use port 9000 if using the embedded web server.

Port 9000 is used if the web apps have been deployed to a single managed server, if hss/workspace has been deployed to its own managed server and the embedded http server is being used then it will be running on the default port of 28080, the embedded proxy servlet is deployed with workspace/hss so it will be bound to whatever port that is running on.
Hopefully OHS is being used and then it is as simple as just using port 19000 :)

                  Cheers

After the services are started, wait for some time for the services to start completely.

If you have Weblogic as your application server, you can check the status/health of all the components.

Navigate to Start --> Oracle Weblogic --> User Projects --> EPMSystem

Start the Weblogic Server -- Start Admin Server for Weblogic Server
Login to Admin Console -- Admin Server console

Type in the user name and password. Once you are logged in navigate to Environments --> Servers and check their Status/Health.

                    Let us know the results.

                    Thanks,

                      Hi!

I am using Weblogic as my application server, right after I've logged into it navigated to Environments --> Servers in order to check the Status/Health of them all, and all services are OK and running, but the RaFramework service is listenning the port 45000.

Should I have redeploy it to the port 28080 ?

                      Thanks,

                      Regards,
                      Alvaro

Yes you are using WebLogic for the app server but what are you using for the http web server - embedded, iis, OHS
Have you actually run the configure web server component which is part of foundation in the configurator.

                        Cheers

                          Hi John,

I am using Windows Server 2008 Enterprise and I've choosed to use IIS as http web server and i've already ran the config tool in order to config the Web Server component.

The default range for Reporting and Analysis Framework Services is 6800-6805. But Should I have to redeploy the RaFramework service in port 28080? How can I do it and where do i put the port value 28080 for RaFramework ?

                          Thanks,

                          Regards,

                          Alvaro

You shouldn't need to redeploy anything, if you are using iis as the web server then you would access workspace using http://server-dsv1/workspace/

                            Cheers

But I got to access Workspace by the url http://server-dsv1/workspace/. Right after log into workspace some error messages appears like the following :

*"The startup document specified does not exist in the repository. Select a new startup document on the General preferences tab."*

When I click OK, another error message appears and I click in details button the error is displayed :

                              URI: http://rj1-2k8-bi-p04:28080/raframework/conf/ToolsConfig.xml

Forget about my last post. When I log into Workspace using http://server-dsv1/workspace/ I do not have any error message. I just got error when I log into using the URL http://server-dsv1:28080/workspace/.

                                Thanks a lot!
