I am testing Failover.
2 Node RAc consistis of Primary DB(dc).
1 Node Rac consists Active Data Guard DB(dr).
When 2 node RAC Primary (dc)is fully Down
I make One Node Data Guard(dr) as Primary.
Then I bring up old primary RAC (dc) and made new Standby DB(dc) with flashback DB to sink with new Primary DB(dr).
Now old primary(dc) as standby(dc) and old standby(dr) as new primary(dc).
1. Now I want to swichback from New primary to old Standby
2. New standby (dc) as Old Primary(DC).
For Step 1:
I issue the commend:
SQL>ALTER DATABASE COMMIT TO SWITCHOVER TO PHYSICAL STANDBY WITH SESSION SHUTDOWN;
And the result is my previous post.
Is there any Listener related issue or anything else.
can you please post below sql outputs.
sql>select switchover_status from v$database;
sql>select SID, PROCESS, PROGRAM from v$session where type = 'USER' and SID <> (select DISTINCT SID from v$mystat);
if 2nd sql returns any ouput plz stop those 1st then re-run SQL>ALTER DATABASE COMMIT TO SWITCHOVER TO PHYSICAL STANDBY WITH SESSION SHUTDOWN;
Maybe you are doing this already but I don't see it here.
Before you do :
You need to :
SQL> alter database commit to switchover to physical standby with session shutdown;
Quote ( source - Page 15 MAA - Switchover and Failover Best Practices )
On the primary stop all but one instance (as stated by 11gR2 documentation) srvctl stop instance -d ...
If the production and standby databases are in an Oracle RAC configuration, first shutting down all but one of the production instances. Once the primary database has only one instance up then shut down all standby instances except the apply instance (this will leave a single instance running on each cluster).

Thanks for reply.
Since New Primary ( DR) is 1 node RAC. So no need to stop other instance.
Before Failover Test both primary and standby was maximum_availability mode
but after failover it is automatically Maximum_performance mode
then i changed both again maximum_availability mode
is it any issue?
Or How to silve please reply.
