    Validation error message appears multiple time in popup

    Mo Koteiche
      Hi,
      I'm using Jdeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.2.3.0

      So basically, I have a validation method on an entity (defered to transaction level) that executes whenever 1 of 4 attributes change in the table.
      The table is based on the VO of course and has clickToEdit as editing mode.
      The validation works fine and throws the message correctly, however, every time you try to navigate away from the record while it's not valid, the error message is added to the list of error messages in the popup.
      Is there a way to make it show the error only once? even if the user tries to navigate multiple times outside the row?

      Tried searching the net for some answers but to no avail, everything is pointing to a bug, but I'm wondering if there's a workaround.

      Thanks!

          Thanks to our Team Leader, this was solved very simply.

          First a javascript method was created in the page using af:resource:
          <af:resource type="javascript">function clearErrorMessages(event) { AdfPage.PAGE.clearAllMessages(); event.cancel(); }</af:resource>
          Then a client listener was added for the table in question that links to this function
          <af:clientListener method="clearErrorMessages" type="click"/>
          As simple as that :)

          Best Regards.
