    DataGuard Redo logs Queries

    Thunder2777
      HI There

      I have recently configure Data guard with Database 10g (10.2.0.4-64 bits) on Windows 2007 server.

      My Data Gurad Configuration show Success status with 2 databases on same (or local) location.

      My questions are

      1. How to Check that our Redo logs are applied/active with Particular Database?

      2. How to Check that Logs are being copied/working?

      Regards

          Hello;

          I used this on the Primary side to collect few pieces of vital information :

          Monitor Data Guard Transport ( will show answers to both questions )

          http://www.visi.com/~mseberg/data_guard/monitor_data_guard_transport.html

          Change DEST_ID as needed for your system and setup.

          Best Regards

                On Primary
                select max(sequence#) from v$archived_log;
                alter system switch logfile;

                And also check the simillar thread

                Next log sequence to archive is different

                  archive log list
                  Next log sequence to archive 0
                  Is this on the Primary or the Standby Database ?

                  The Primary should show 4,5 or 6 as the "next log sequence to archive".
