So now you are retrieving the stored data from the database.
So when u click the push button i need to populate the value in the text item.
So u can write the validation under the button and by using message u can populate the alert msg to the user.
Thanks & Regards
no i want my when validate item trigger to be work after retieving of data into that item........not on when the data is coming in that item.
Can you make little bit clear of your requirement.
I have below coding in when-validate-item Trigger
SA_ORGANIZATION_BRANCH_MASTER WHERE OBM_BRANCH_CODE IN (SELECT OBM_BRANCH_CODE from SA_ORGANIZATION_BRANCH_MASTER where obm_branch_name = :bl_dtls.branch_name);
IF :BL_DTLS.START_DATE < v_br_open_dt THEN
pl_messagebox('AL_INFORMATION',' Start Date Cannot Be Lesser Than Branch Open Date '||CHR(10)||TO_CHAR(v_br_open_dt,'DD-MM-YYYY'),'WARNING',:GLOBAL.AL_BUTTON,'Y');
i have one Query Button on which i m retrieving data from database and putting into the start_date item .
i have some date which are < v_br_open_date thats why i m getting above plmessagebox message when i m clicking on query button but dont want that
i want data should come first without validation and after compltion of query buttons work when-validate-item trigger should work.........
hope you get my point......
Can you just put ur code in post_query and give a try. Because its not possible in when validate trigger.
post-query trigger is not available there at item level and it is not working at block level
Referring to ur first post in order to make the validation after retrieving the data from the db u could use...
IF :BL_DTLS.START_DATE IS NOT NULL THEN ___ UR validation____ END IF;
Dear Amatu ,
it is not working.
ok pls remove any block.or form level trigger u created before cause all stop the function of that trigger...
I have so many blocks and so many triggers in that block how i can remove all........
ok just create a new form with the specified trigger if it works copy trigger by trigger into the new form to find out... or u can debug.
