    webgates and apache244

    OldGuy
We have a client that is using RHEL6 and Apache244 as their HTTP server. We need to add webgates for their SSO connection but the last I heard... if we were using Apache -- of any kind -- we could not use 11g webgates. And that only OHS was allowed for use with 11g webgates.

Is this still true? If so, any noise about when it will change?

Our client decided to go to apache22 since it was approved by their controlling group... but in trying to install Oracle_Access_Manager10_1_4_3_0_linux64_APACHE22_WebGate but when we execute the command we get the following -- but nothing happens after this.

            Hello OldGuy,

Assuming the install file is OK (it may be worth re-downloading it) it looks as if there's some unknown dependency that the installer's failing on. You can add
            -is:log mylog.txt
to the command in order to get InstallShield to log what it's doing, and that may provide some clues, or trace it with strace -f to get more voluminous output.

Another thing to try is to add the installshield flag tempdir to a location that you know is writeable and has plenty of disk space, for example:

            Oracle_Access_Manager10_1_4_3_0_linux64_APACHE22_WebGate -is:tempdir /home/oracle

to avoid any problems if the default temp location may have.

            Regards,
            Colin

Thanks for the reply... I am getting "Invalid bundled JVM. Missing 'jvm' file."

We have jdk 1.6.0.35 installed... any idea where would it be looking for the jvm?

I added the "-is:tempdir /home/oracle" but nothing was returned. What are the other parameters I can use with Install Shield?

                Thanks again for your help
