You didn't supply your version of Forms this is always required?
Also can you explain what you mean between Forms(Windows) and Forms(AIX)? Do you mean when run in Developer on windows as opposed to when run on the AS on AIX? Windows is always involved unless there is a version of Excel that runs natively on AIX ?
My forms Version is 10.1.2.0.2
Yes i meant when i run the form in developer in windows against when run in the AS on AIX :)
So you are using Webutil to put the data into Excel or another method?
Sorry, reading your original post, it looks like your are bringing data into the form from excel.
Yes. I am bringing data into the form from excel.
I am using webutil to do this

Ok, so now we are on the same page.
One option is to put a format mask on the field you are bringing the data into so not show the decimal places.
If you are reading the data into a character field that is a different matter.
Are you using the same webutil and version of jacob for both situations?
Your windows might be running a 32bit version and your Aix ends up running a 64-bit version, not that this would explain the issue.
I have figured out the portion where i am having issue:
I am reading a string(123456) from excel using the code
In windows this resulting value is 123456 but in AIX it is 123456.0
I am reading this into a character field.
The value i am reading from the excel can be number or character i mean it could be either '123456' or 'abcdef'
If i use Client_OLE2.get_num_property(cell,'Value'); then the value returns without decimal, but i can not use this code when there is an character in excel.
