    Understanding the question is what is "totally impossible" here. What do you mean by "compare"? Compare what? How? What does this have to do with checkboxes?

    Please read the FAQ and forum sticky threads.

    You'll get a faster, more effective response to your questions by including as much relevant information as possible upfront. This should include:

    <li>Full APEX version
    <li>Full DB/version/edition/host OS
    <li>Web server architecture (EPG, OHS or APEX listener/host OS)
    <li>Browser(s) and version(s) used
    <li>Theme
    <li>Template(s)
    <li>Region/item type(s)

    the need is a check box as show in http://tinypic.com/r/23sgk90/4

    the comparision code in javascript is :
    ...
        if (document.wwv_flow.f40.checked==true){
    str = document.wwv_flow.f40[i].value ;
    rDetails = str.split(",");
    rsal=parseFloat(rDetails[0]);
    for (j=i+1; j < document.wwv_flow.f40.length; j++)
    {
    if (document.wwv_flow.f40[j].checked==true)
    {
    str = document.wwv_flow.f40[j].value
    cDetails = str.split(",");
    csal = parseFloat(cDetails[0]);
    if(rsal > csal)
    {
    per=100 - csal * 100 / rsal ;
    output=output+ '<h4>' + rDetails[1] + ' Better than ' + cDetails[1] + ' ' + parseFloat(per.toFixed(2)) + ' % <h4/>';
    }
    else
    {
    per= 100 - rsal * 100 / csal ;
    output=output+ '<h4>P' + cDetails[1] + ' Better than ' + rDetails[1] + ' ' + parseFloat(per.toFixed(2)) + ' % <h4/>';
    }
    ...
