RMAN-06023

Hi,

Oracle 10.2.0.5
Solaris 10

plan is backup and restore testing
while restoring amfacing below problem, can please suggest how to proceed further.

RMAN> restore datafile 28;

Starting restore at 21 APR 2013 20:40:28
using channel ORA_DISK_1

RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-03002: failure of restore command at 04/21/2013 20:40:28
RMAN-06026: some targets not found - aborting restore
RMAN-06023: no backup or copy of datafile 28 found to restore
RMAN>

    you need an older backup file where/when datafile 28 existed.

    where file# = 28;

    it is showing specification does not match any backup in the repository
    RMAN> list backup;
    List of Datafiles in backup set 32

    according to above results 28 datafile was in fact a plugged in datafile, and there has been no backups taken after the pluggin operation.
    The PLUGIN_CHANGE# (568809) is higher than the 'Ckp SCN' (563444) from the backup.
    So you need to plugin the datafile again from its source, then proceed what ever you want.
