    Reg: Calling Servlet from JSP:

    ranit B
      Hi Experts,

This's my first post in Java and learning newly (I'm from Oracle PL/SQL).
I'm trying to redirect from JSP to Servlet and again back to another JSP.

On hitting the page URL (i.e. Jsp-1), I'm not landing on Jsp-2 but also not getting any errors. I'm not able to understand/track where things are going wrong.
Is there any way I can give <tt>syso's</tt> in the Servlet code to check if the control is atleast reaching there?

Please let me know if any other inputs are needed.

          a) post code, use \
          b) don't abbreviate. I guess with syso you mean a System.out right? And yes, you can just do that; tomcat has a log file in which they will be captured, or if you're running the stuff from your IDE it will end up in the IDE's console.
          c) learning java web before learning java core is a big mistake. Please, learn core Java first and learn it well, this will take a few weeks. Learn the language through and through. Learn all about the classpath, threading, classloaders. Pick an IDE (Netbeans, Eclipse...) and learn how to use it well, plus how to use its debugger.
