We have a requirement to link the inventory org model configuration to the sales order line as Oracle performs the configuration by default from the item validation org which is set in the OE system parameters when we invoke the configurator. We are able to successfully perform the link but getting the error message while booking the order. Because batch validation program validates the configuration against the validation org but not with the inventory org. So we planned to skip the batch validation by using of the profile option "CZ: skip validation procedure". But my question is if we skip the validation process while booking, will it affect the order process in later stage (i.e., star item creation, shipping, etc)??
Expecting your inputs !!!
Here is my scenario:
I have an ATO model which is having the Bill of Material structure in inventory organization. And then I am commoning only TOP level ATO model from Inventory org to validation org and running the populate program to populate the model into configurator. So configurator has only the TOP level item (No BOM parts) in validation org.
When i do the configuration in sales order the configurator is getting invoked from the validation org which is set in OE system parameters and finishes the configuration. So only TOP level ATO models are populating back to the sales order line.
Now i wanted to perform the configuration in my inventory org and populate the complete BOM into my sales order line without having the configurator model in inventory org.
