Seems a bug to me?

Who knows? Could be user error.
You would need to provide a lot more information.
Version numbers. Connection details. Error messages.
You know. Basic information which would give people a chance to help you.
On my Windows 7 64bit, I tried sql developer version 3.2.20, 3.1.0, 3.0.0 bundled with jdk (1.6 or 1.5).
Used tnsnames.ora. Connecting using non ops$account is working fine. But ops$account is not.
I went to the connection ->Property window, clear user name and password, selected TNS as connection type, checked OS_Authentication box, click connect button.
All failed with the following message
Status:Failure - Test failed: ORA-01017:invalid username/password;logon denied.
Preference->Database->OCI/Thick Driver is unchecked.
However, with the same TNSNAME.ORA, connecting from sqlplus with ops$account is working.
I also tried 3.2.20 on Linux, it is working like a charm.
I would appreciate any help on this issue.
I also know for a fact that sql developer on XP didn't have such issues.
