Try cuting the field (ctrl+x) and then paste it into the frame and finally resize the frame.
This method does not work. I drew a frame, then draw a field inside that frame, then after resizing the frame, the field become outside the frame, according to object navigator.
That is a kind of bug, i have faced the same problem, just keep drawing until it get fixed, also try closing and the opening again the report builder
Just click the field, and press parent frame, sure you able change what ever it is . try you will get it.
Hello! The problem is that when I resize the parent frame to the same size as the field, then in object navigator, the field will be moved outside of parent frame and will not become a field in that frame.
Yes i knew it,
what to do is,
make light bigger than field, do it carefully, you can do it
DO ONE STEP LIKE THIS : -
DRAW A FRAME ON YOUR FIELD WITH BIGGER SIZE THEN FIELD,
NOW , FILL WHITE COLOR INTO FRAME AND USER BRING FRONT OPTION FROM REPORT BUILDER.
IT WILL BRING YOUR FIELD FORWARD INTO THE FRAME , THEN REMOVE WHILE COLOR.
IF YOUR FIELD IS OUT OF THAT FRAME THEN FRAME WITH WHITE COLOR ONLY SHOWN , IF IT IS INSIDE THEN FRAME THEN WHITE COLOR AND FIELD , BOTH WILL DISPLAY INTO FRAME.
Hi in your case check out the lock object option into report builder.
After Putting filed into parent fame , if u off the lock option , then field can go outside.
just check onces.
This reply is to everyone who replied to my question. After changing the border line width of both the field and the frame to "Hairline", by selecting the objects -> Format -> Line -> Line width -> Hairline, the problem is now solved.
Thanks for all the replies.
