    Audit Checks

      Hi All,

I am new in OEDQ world.
Can we use one processor for multiple fields?

      For e.g
Pattern check process is processing one field at a time, for same requirement with another field we need to drag another processor.
Can single processor handle for both fields?

      Regards,
      Sandeep

Yes, this is possible. You can apply multiple checks using Business Rules Check, though this is more advanced territory.

Note that checking patterns on many attributes using the same pattern lists is not a very common requirement, and where it is (for example multiple phone number attributes in a table/file), normally it is still desirable to have separate statistics on Pass/Fail and separate output filtering. If you have a few attributes like this you could create a compound processor with multiple inputs.

Note also that you can pattern profile as many attributes that you like in a single processor, which will generate a results view for each attribute.

          Regards,

            Thanks Mike.

Is there any sample or demo files avilable so that we can test various features?
while searching on google generally we found the demo setup for ODQ how it can help in OEDQ.

Yes one more question I am confused between ODQ and OEDQ.
            Both are different products?
Why two products for same work?

            Regards,
            Sandeep

              Sandeep,

OEDQ does not ship with sample data except if you install the Customer Data Services Pack or Watchlist Screening; these are pre-packaged solutions which do include demo data.

It is really easy to connect a new data source - use the Getting Started wizard in Director to step through this.

              To clarify:

Oracle Data Quality for ODI was an OEM of Trillium Software. It is no longer sold by Oracle.

Oracle Enterprise Data Quality is Oracle's own product, from the acquisition of Datanomic a couple of years ago, and has replaced ODQ on the Technology price list. It is also sold on the Apps price list.

              Regards,

              Mike
