            Hi,
What software are you using for the connection ? You say your RDBMS is 10.2.0.1 but the 10.2 gateway software was never ported to Windows 64-bit.
You will need to download and install 11g gateway software and also upgrade your RDBSM to 10.2.0.4 or 10.2.0.5 so it will work with 11g gateways.

            Regards,
            Mike

                Hi,
The 10.2 OLEDB gateway option is also not available on Windows 64-bit. The only option is to install and use the 11g gateways which are the only version available on that platform. YOu could install a 10.2 gateway on another platfrom (such as Windows 32-bit) and access from the RDBSM on Windows 64-bit but you will be using an unsupported gateway version. Also, unless you already have the install media youwill need to open an SR with Oracle Support to request the 10.2 media as it is no longer available to download online.
All the earlier gateway versions (9g and 10g) have been desupported since 2008 so the 11g gateways are also the better option because of that.
the only drawback is youwill have to upgrade your RDBMS to 10.2.0.4 or 10.2.0.5 but that is also a good thing to do to make sure you have the latest patches and fixes.

                Regards,
                Mike
