I'm not sure I understand the problems you are having, but..... There's no limit in P6 Win (other than PC memory that could limit you). I think P6 web had a 50k limit at one point. Not sure why you have *'s with no constraints. Are you having Excel problems? If so, are you using an old version with a ~64,000 row limit?
Ya I am having problems in importing from excel. It shows out of memory...
The stars or asterisks on your activities without constraints mean those acitivites have relationships to other activities in different schedules.
P6 doesnt have any activity limits although 225k is a ton for only 4 projects. You will need to utilize filters to limit the amount of activities you are importing and exporting.
For example, start by filtering out all completed activites as their status wont change.

There are many activities are linked to other projects like construction projects is linked to procurement and commissioning projects but asterisk mark showing on few activities only.To remove those asterisk I delete those activities and again given relationship then its working well. Is there any bug in Primavera or some programming error?
No, there is no bug.
Those activities that have asterisks (Stars) next to their start or finish dates (despite having no constraints) have "External Early Start" or "External Late Finish" dates, respectively, assigned to them. These dates get imported with XER and represent links to activities of those projects that are not in your database but in the external database where the XER originated from.
To remove, filter out all such activities (with stars) and delete their "External" dates. However, be aware that Start or Finish dates of such activities might change if you delete theire External dates. If getting rid of asterisks does alter your schedule, ask the person who sent you the XER to confirm start/finish dates of all such (starred) activiites.
This generally happens when there is a predecessor to another project. Then if that other project is not opened, or is deleted, the start date is maintained, and * is shown but there is no constraint or predecessor. As the * cannot be removed, only way is to delete that activity and input again
In P6 client , their is no such Filter available for WBS view, So you have to play with activity filters only as per your requirements....
And Global change functionality for WBS UDF is not available in P6 client ....So you can't make any calculation or changes...
These are all limitations of primavera P6 client.
Thanks for all the responses. After these input I think there should be filter at WBS level which would help to filter activities in projects having lac's of activities. I got rid of * too.....
