Thanks, that helped me get somewhat started, but I'm still trying to figure out how to set up the clustering without all of the Database specific stuff enabled. It should be possible, based upon this taken from the Clusterware 12c Page (Oracle Clusterware</title><meta name="Title" content="Oracle Clusterware"><meta name=…)
"The 12c Application Cluster - An HA and Resource Management Cluster for the Application Tier
For those applications that cannot co-locate with the Oracle Database in a standard cluster or Flex Cluster, the 12c Application Cluster allows you to install and configure the Oracle 12c Grid Infrastructure for applications in a stand-alone cluster. This configuration removes Oracle Database specific resources from the clusterware and allows for either shared storage, ACFS or remote ASM storage for the Oracle Clusterware repository and voting devices. This builds on the Oracle 'thin' Cluster introduced in 11g."
I would like to set up an Application Cluster, but I can't seem to find anything about it in the documentation.
