expdp dump to remote server without dblink

Hi All,

version: 11.2.0.3

can we start expdp from remote server and create dumpfile on remote server without creating database link?

we cannot create db link because it is from PROD to DEV.

from conventional exp/imp we can do this by just starting exp in remote server and it creates dumpfile in current directory remote server. So in datapump can we do this?
