it's bad idea use CDF in DCALC.
Rasyuk - do you mean to say that it is bad idea to use CDF function in dynamic calc ? Do you think retrieval would be much slower ?
Each СDF call -> It's Big work for EssBase . It's need use other system resource.
If you have more CDF calcualtion and need to do this Fast ) - Best way - use Essbase CRC http://essbase.ru/archives/6273
Cool stuff! but correct me if I'm wrong but this CRC will work only if my data is in database tables ?
Will it also work if my dynamic calc member is retrieving and calculation data from the planning cube itself.
Do you have any more detailed info on how to deploy this and how to call this in member formula or calc script ?

Data dynamically retrieved from Essbase VIA APS with using MDX queries
>>dynamic calc member is retrieving and calculation data from the planning cube itself.
No . It ONLY for stored member.
I need reduce using DCALC

Just now i don have any detailed document for this. But
1) You need to know about Essbase Load Rules, Maxl Load Data, MDX data retirvies.
2) You need advanced PL-SQL experience for using it
Thanks for the reply.

Yes and CRC and CDF only for stored.
Any idea why it is timing out?
Might it not be a good idea to fix that issue rather than insert a whole new piece of code into the problem?
Maybe you are trying to do something and simply have a bug or a bad design? Why would a cdf version of whatever does not work now be expected to work in going forward,
CDF on DCALC or Big formula DCAL work fine ONLY in exclusive mode. In Development env.
You really need to turn you mind to the other side for writing HA (high avalibilty) code.
We have a large cube with 15 dimensions and lot of accounts are dynamically calculated. Complex PTD calculations involving lot of accounts are really slowing down the retrievals. Any ideas or suggestions you could throw at me that could help ?
Yes read my chapter in Developing Essbase Applications. Stop using dynamic hierarchies for additive consolidations and ptd calculations
