Is this issue with all queries or specific ones only?
What is the query you are trying to run?
Can you upload a screenshot that shows the issue?
How to upload? This problem is for all requries. I want to list all sysadmin jobs in a nice output to show.
I remember when I used TOAD. If I select * from dba_objects, the output will be in a table format in the output section. I can right click and export it to a xls file. From the thread I read earier, SQL Developer also has this.
how do you execute the query?
When you use F5 (execute as Script) then you get some text as output, similar to SQL*Plus.
When you use F9 then you get a table with the right click option to export the data into a xls file.
I normally use "run/exe" button" (same as F5). When I use F9, first blinking/show 1,2,3 ..... on first column (didnot see table) then immediatly "closed connection".
What are your SQL Developer, Java, and OS versions?
What do you mean by "Run/Exe" button?
There are two buttons - a green arrow which is "Run Statement (F9)", and a green arrow on a page, which is "Run Script (F5)".
SQL Developer version 3.2.20.09
java version "1.4.2"
gij (GNU libgcj) version 4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-52)
Linux tbc-lxofstx02 2.6.18-308.4.1.el5 #1 SMP Wed Mar 28 01:54:56 EDT 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I normally use "Run Script".
Thank you for the link. but it looks complicated.
Okay. I reboot, restarted the SQL Developer. Now I have table format for the output when click F9. When I export all the contents in one cell in a xls file. How to export to a table like?
