Did you change attribute2 of the plugin (custom attributes)?
Yes. (At least I think so).
Attribute 2 is "Session Timeout Message"
Specifically, what I did was change the Default Value to:
"This session has been idle for too long and has now been disconnected. Click OK be redirected to the Login screen"
Is there supposed to be anything further? Am I changing in the correct place?
I find this in the source:
l_timeoutMessage := NVL(p_plugin.attribute_02,'Session has been idle for too long!');
So; it is as if the plugin believes that the attribute is NULL but, I can't determine why this would be. I know I could edit the source code to force it but, I'd rather get it to work as designed if possible.
Change the value which is set in the component settings.
Shared Components->Component Settings->SkillBuilders Session Timeout(1.0.1)[Plug-in]->Session Timeout Message
See the original post. This setting is exactly what was changed. It appears to have no effect.
In your original post you said
I have gone into Shared Components...Plugins
I'm saying go into
Shared Components->Component Settings
Different setting. The default setting for the plugin is what the component setting will be set to when the plugin is added or if the component setting is updated to nothing. If this doesn't work I would recommend removing the plugin, download a fresh copy of the plugin, and reinstall the plugin.
Yes, that was the trick. Thanks, Jeff. Sorry for not noticing that difference sooner.
