    which exam i have to take for oca?

      Hi All,

       

       

      Please provide me valid suggestions on this

       

      I want to do OCA certification on sql and pl/sql

       

      which exam i have to choose?

      what version have to choose 10g or 11g?

       

      is how many days does the certificate valid?

          The certification is valid for lifetime. You better choose 11g. Also for OCA you can even give one of the 2 exams (1Z0-051) online without visiting the pearson vue test center

           

          Your certification path will be as follows

          Pass one of these exams

          1Z0-007 Introduction to Oracle9i SQL®

          or

          1Z0-047 Oracle Database SQL Expert

          or

          1Z0-051 Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals I (I would recommend this)

           

          and then pass one of these exams

          1Z0-147 Program with PL/SQL

          or

          1Z0-144 Oracle Database 11g: Program with PL/SQL

            The PL/SQL development track is not tied to a version of the database like the DBA certification track.  There are two versions of the 'Program with PL/SQL' exam that can be used for the OCA.  One of them is older and was developed when 9i was in production (1Z0-147).  The other was developed after 11G was released (1Z0-144).  However passing either exam generates the exact same certification title.  I talk about the two exams in this article:
