This doesn't make much sense. I'm assuming you have multiple dumpfiles from an export command and you only want to import 1. How do you know what is in the dumpfile that you want to import? The last thing the data pump job will do is export the master table. How do you know what file that is in and then are you sure the objects you want to import are in the same dumpfile.
The answer is NO, this is not supported. When Data Pump import start, it verifies that all of the dumpfiles at export time are included in the import job. If not, the job will fail.
Here is the error I am getting when I tried to import one file from the list.
ORA: 39059 dump file set is incomplete
ORA: 39246 can not locate master table within provided dumpfile.
The database exported using EXPDP with parameter file, where it has Dumpfile = filename_%U.
In parallel mode the files are generated.
So, from the above conversation I guess it is not possible to import data from one dumpfile alone. Since the extracted dump will expect all the file at that time the Export was done.
