GTE Cyber trust root ca expiring

ShakunJul 24 2013 — edited Aug 27 2013

I have the default GTE Cyber Trust Root CA certificate in the application's trust store which is expiring on 14th August, 2013. I am not able to find any renewal information over the internet. Do I actually need to replace the root CA certificate or I can live with it as long as I am not using intermediate CA certificate signed by this particular CA?

I have just tested this answer, in a Netbeans 7.3 environment, and it works:-

Good luck.
