Did you check the profile option - IRC: Internal Posting Days
From the Implementation guide - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18727_01/doc.121/e13518/T24319T440324.htm
Set posting days to define the number of days for internal job postings
If you want to make the job details available to your employees first, then set the IRC: Internal Posting Days profile option. You specify the number of days that the application posts an advertisement internally before posting the advertisement on the external site.
A lot many thanks for your reply,
Just wanted to know whether this profile would cause automatic updation of external site start date once the vacancy is approved?
Suppose i have given value of profile option as 10 days . Ideally external site start date should be updated after 10 days.
But let's say someone approves within 4 days itself at the internal site, what would be the start date of external site?
The way I see is, from the date of approval, for the first 10 days, only internal candidates would be able to see a vacancy.
From the 11th day on, it would be open for all.
Why don't you give it a go and test it.
You seem to be right, but one thing which i noticed is that start date of external website link is automatically prompted (which cannot be updated) once i use this profile option giving 10 days. The concerning point is it takes into account normal days and not business days?
Do you have any idea wrt to this?
That is seeded functionality.
If you use that profile, I'm afraid you cannot do much other than allowing system to automate the start date for external candidates.
