4.0EA1 Exporting table DDL puts Not Null constraint as alter statement

AMJul 31 2013 — edited Aug 6 2013

This was an issue with in release 3.2.10.09 as well

Exporting tables with not null constraints exports DDL with not null constraint as Alter table statement. In browser right click on table -> Quick DDL -> Save to Worksheet. Issue is same when table is exported by other options.

This has undesirable effect when table is reference partitioned then the create table command as constructed by export can not be played as Not Null constraint is not inline.

This is not an issue when viewing table SQL in table information window.

Any Help!!!

DayalanP

Well i can say if its a multi-currency application you have to mention the currency for the data to get exported to Hyperion Planning, are you sure the earlier application was also Multi-currency?

Sorry for late response.

You are saying that for multi-currency application we need to insert a value against Functional Currency as shown in the image i attached?

Is this the standard way to do it?

I am sure that the application was multi-currency.

Thanks and Regards

Refresh the planning metadata, then define the import format for currency dimension,  then  You need to add it in the mapping for currency dimension  (to Local currency of planning  application)  .

I have mapped the currency dimension against a UD column while creating target application.

I have created import format and assigned a column from file to it.

I have mapped currency member local.

Now what my question is....

Do i need to add my target member (which is local at the moment) against Functional Currency in my Location or i can upload data without it .
