What is the oracle version you are using?
In normal export/import you have to use fromuser/touser parameter to perform this task. check this :http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14215/exp_imp.htm
if you are >10g version then you can go with datapump option check this ORACLE-BASE - Oracle Data Pump (expdp and impdp) in Oracle Database 10g
im working with oracle 11g.
so if i was to use the fromuser and touser option, would it look like this
imp schema-2/password directory=dump_dir fromuser=schema-1 touser=schema-2 dumpfile=schema-1.dmp logfile=schema-1.log
or should i use
impdp schema-2/password DIRECTORY=dump_dir DUMPFILE=schema-1.dmp LOGFILE=schema-2.log REMAP_SCHEMA=schema-2:schema-1
Thanks guys. I ran this command
impdp schema-2/password DIRECTORY=dump_dir DUMPFILE=schema-1.dmp LOGFILE=schema-2.log REMAP_SCHEMA=schema-1:schema-2
and its running fine now.
But i have a new error
ORA-39171: Job is experiencing a resumable wait
ORA-01653: unable to extend table schema-2.table_name by 1024 in tablespace NSN_2
what do i do pls?
can simply deleting on used files in help make it work?
