For example if the customer has two physical servers as node1 and node2 and the SAN is physically attached. How do we create file system, if you need to keep Oracle middle ware and SOA binaries on local nodes but need to keep the Weblogic and soa clustered domains on shared drives, please suggest how do we do this with file system creation commands. Appreciate your guidance.
Could you please make your question more concrete? First of all, which kind of file system do you want to use? Do you want to use ASM as a logical volume manager? Are you talking about the ZFS? I saw that your question got many view, but actually I don't think that anyone of us gets your problem. Perhaps you could put it that way: Which kind of file system and volume management should I use best for setting up a Weblogic cluster and what is a recommended partition layout. But I am not into your problem domain. I just hope that you are not planing to install Weblogic on SAN - Drives. They are Network - Storages. You need a full OS of course to run Oracle Middelware or Weblogic. Besides that I really don't understand why you are talking about SOA - binaries. SOA is by defintion an expression of architecture, how you plan your applications to interact as services and the way this services communicate with each other.
