    How to set Forms/Database username in LDAP to use with ssoProxyConnect and default RAD

    BvdrHorst-Oracle

      ENVIRONMENT:

      -------------------------

      Forms 11.1.2.1.0

      OAM 11.1.1.7

      DB 11.2.0.3

      Linux x86-64

      ISSUE/QUESTION:

      -----------------------------

      When using ssoProxyConnect in conjunction with a default RAD, the LDAP username is used to make the proxied connection.

      Where could we configure to take another property of the LDAP entry to be used to make the final proxied connection?

      EXAMPLE:

      -----------------------------

      LDAP username is "bert.van.der.horst@oracle.com"

      Default RAD database connection user is "midtier"

      --> described in MOS ID 1390533.1

      --> and http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E38115_01/doc.111210/e24477/sso.htm#BABFDABJ

      Forms/Database username is "bvdhorst"

      =============

      Now, setting ssoProxyConnect=yes the connectstring becomes --> connect midtier[bert.van.der.horst@oracle.com]/midtierPW@databaseTnsName

      --> unfortunatly, this does not work. The username "bert.van.der.horst@oracle.com" cannot be a database name.

      Need to configure to take "uid=bvdhorst" from the LDAP entry --> connect midtier[bvdhorst]/midtierPW@databaseTnsName
