did you install rpm after it showed in the pre-requisite screen while installing oracle
No, the rpms were installed on the system before I ran the installer.
Kindly let me know about the architecture of your OS. Is it 64 bit or 32 bit?
Also let me know the following package architecture
# uname -r
# ls -l ~user1/downloads/
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 11687 Aug 28 02:21 libaio-devel-0.3.106-5.x86_64.rpm -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1024971 Aug 26 17:12 unixODBC-2.2.11-1.i386.rpm -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 854623 Aug 26 17:12 unixODBC-2.2.11-7.1.x86_64.rpm -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 41158 Aug 26 17:12 unixODBC-devel-2.2.11-1.i386.rpm -rw-r--r-- 1 root root
814677 Aug 26 17:12 unixODBC-devel-2.2.11-7.1.x86_64.rpm
Can I ignore the warning and proceed with the installation? Thanks,
Your machine is 64 bit and your installed rpm package is also 64 bit. Try rebooting your machine and then start the installer. If you still get the warnings, just ignore and try then.
Exactly, I knew that. Reboot had no effect.
When i install i got a similar problem like "asmlib driver packages are not installed. but actually i did. So i ignored that warning and continued the installation and got succeeded. let us know your status.
