if it's development, would you not be able to use the developer license?
let me just say i've seen forms builder and reports builder running off linux and it's butt ugly.
Don't get me wrong, i prefer linux to windows, but in this case, I prefer to develop forms and reports on windows, even if deployment is to a different platform.
So that a team could share one dev environment, and only the server need a licence. (Otherwise if we built environments everyone locally, we need to buy much more licences I think ......)
If you visit https://shop.oracle.com and take a look on how to purchase licenses for Developer Suite you'll notice that the only available license model is +Named User Plus+ which means every developer using Forms Builder counts as a named user, and it doesn't matter if you start it on a Terminal Server or your local PC. So you have to pay the licenses anyway even if you just have one physical installation.
(Weblogic+Forms+Oracle) on an AIX server (or some other linux/unix server)
Apart from licenses, did you ever try using Forms builder on Linux/Unix ? Defining it unusable is an euphemism...
