When I updated the SQL text in the Record View PV_PERF_SR_VW in PeopleSoft Designer, it updates the SQL text in the default DBTYPE in table PSSQLTEXTDEFN. But when I build the View, it seams use the SQL text in DBTYPE 2 to build the View. So the view not build as we want. Any one have such experience on this?
When you open the SQL Editor in App Designer to enter your SQL text, there is a dropdown list at the top that you can use to specify the DB type. It will default to [default], but if you expand the list you may see one or more DB types appear in bold to indicate that database-specific SQL exists. If any database-specific SQL exists for the database you are running on, then this will take precedence over any default SQL when you build the view. If you want to customize the SQL for this view, you will have to first select your database type from the dropdown list and then either modify the existing SQL, or remove it and then switch back to the default and make your changes there.
In your particular case, DBTYPE 2 would indicate that Oracle-specific SQL exists for PV_PERF_SR_VW.
