Which version of ATG are you planning to install? If it is 10.2, then I don't think a 32-bit Linux OS is not supported, you need to have a 64-bit Linux version. For installation and configuration follow http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35319_01/Platform.10-2/ATGInstallGuide/ATGInstallGuide.pdf

Answer to you first question : You can install Oracle ATG Web Commerce (10.0.3) Media Pack for UNIX Based Systems, However this version is old one.
Answer to you second question : You should read ATG Compatibility Matrix in order to integrate ATG with R12 application on Linux 32 bit. It is new to me.

First of all, your decision to install ATG on Linux is prefect. Linux is fast and will give you fewer pain.

ATG consumes lots of memory. It has lots of integration modules such as ATG Core, CAS, PlatformServices, MDEX, ToolsAndFramework as well as you have to create two server instances for PUBLISHING and PRODUCTION environments. Your 32 bit Linux will slow even you setup more than 3 GB memory.
This is common for all 32 bit Operating Systems.
The latest version of ATG 10.2 is the recommended version. It has significant changes in Endeca search engine integration.
It is really good if you can go with 64 bit Linux. I have installed ATG 10.2 64 bit in Following Operating Systems.
