What defines a Transaction in an ODI Procedure?

There are multiple Transactions (Autocommit and Transaction 0 through Transaction 9) that can be chosen and different commit options that can be set for each Transaction. Is a a Transaction defined by a semi-colon?

Is it the case where an actual procedure (DECLARE, BEGIN, END) is counted as Transaction 0 and if individual sql statements (DML or DDL) are used with the odi procedure command, then each sql statement that is ended by a semi-colon (oracle) is treated as a different Transaction?

I just don't see how the actual Transaction drop down list relates to the Command. I mean isn't there only 1 Transaction per Command and that's why we can have multiple Commands in a procedure?
