In SQLDev EA2 sorting on data tab is not remembered - is it bug or it's intended?
Select some table -> Open -> select "Data" tab -> click "Sort" button and select sorting columns. Close table tab page and open it again. In SQLDev 3.2.20 sorting columns were remembered, in EA2 they are not.
I've done a quick test and column sorts are being saved on EA2 for me.
I have no idea if this will work for you but if you go to the preference "Preferences"->"Database"->"ObjectViewer" and click the "Clear" button to clear all the persisted settings for the grid. Then shutdown and restart SQLDeveloper and try your testcase again and report back.

It helped partially - now sorting preferences are remembered for a moment.
I'm opening the table, selecting "Data" tab, setting sorting columns, closing table page and reopening it. Sometimes sorting preferences are remembered, sometimes they are gone. If they are remembered for the first or second table reopening, they are gone for the N-th reopening.
In the "Sort Columns" window under "Sort history" I can always see previously set preferences.
I don't know if this is related but I've noticed that each time when I'm first time selecting "Data" tab (after opening table) in the "Messages - Log" window appears message "Task Cancelled: ".
