I kind of relate to that thread. However, unlike the other thread, I had ORACLE_HOME set correct to grid. Even when starting listener, I have the correct ORACLE_HOME set, so why does it attempt to start the DB Listener?

I also notice that the OracleOraCrs11g_home1TNSListener is started after all of this. But when connecting thru sqlplus, I get the following error:

ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified
It wasn't clear from that post if the OP deleted the DB service - is that what is required for me to do? If yes, I can't understand why, because ORACLE_HOME is set correct, there is no need for srvctl to mingle with the DB home.
