I followed tutor at Migrating a Microsoft SQL Server Database to Oracle Database 11g by sql developer Version 184.108.40.206 in window.
I can migrates sample codes into oracle database. The example code have two folder:Capture and data. Under data folder, there are two parts. one is named as oracle sub folder and rest is data add log files.
When I migrated my 2008 sql server database into oracle 11. I can only migrated sql objects into oracle but failed loading data during missing data file.
Per reviewing, in output directory, I see lots of ctl files under datamove folder and generate folder. But i am not able to find any data file to support ctl codes
The ctl file code example as
into table /dbo_test.sale.SALE
Due to missing data file, data loading works but not data in migrated tables.
recode show as
SQL> Disconnected from Oracle Database 12c Enterprise Edition Release 220.127.116.11.0 - 64bit Production
With the Partitioning, OLAP, Advanced Analytics and Real Application Testing options
Please help me where do I lost in migration processing.so that I can generate a data file during migration
Using SQl developer gives you 2 options to move the data, the online and the offline data move. When you call the offline data load batch file you also need to make sure that you collected the data first at the SQL server side using the data extract batch files that create the DAT files with the content. The content is written into flat files using the unload_scripts.bat file => check if you have this sort of file, then copy the whole script folder to the SQL Server and start the unload script there.
It will create the dat files that you will then need to load the data into the Oracle database.
