We have Actual (DefaultView= YTD, ZeroViewForAdj= YTD, ZeroViewForNonAdj=YTD) and a 9+3 Forecast (DefaultView= Per, ZeroViewForAdj= Per, ZeroViewForNonAdj=Per) scenario.
Whenever data is loaded over Periodically, that is fine. However when the journals are loaded into our 9+3 and we reconsolidate, everything gets put out.
Has anyone faced this before and how do they handle it?
I had a similar issue in the past but it was related with both data and journals. As far as I remember, you should load data and journals of P01 before working P02 and data and journals of P02 before working on P03 etc. If you load all the journals at once, all the numbers will be changed.
I got stuck with the fact that you are extracting and copying the journals from a scenario to another. I obviously don't know your situation fully and tested an idea just quickly but it seemed to work.
Could you not copy the values of the journals between the scenarios using rules? And specify the View-dimension in the HS.Exp statement to get the YTD/Periodic data correct. Provided that you have the Journals on their own Custom(4)-member, the rules statement could be something like this:
If HS.Value.Member = "<Entity Curr Adjs>" And HS.Scenario.Member = "Forecast" And HS.Entity.IsBase("","") = True Then
HS.Exp "C4#Journals = S#Actual.W#Periodic"
This would work if you don't need to have the journal detail in your Forecast scenario but merely the data values.
