    [oracle@localhost ~]$ oerr ora 1115

    01115, 00000, "IO error reading block from file %s (block # %s)"

// *Cause:  Device on which the file resides is probably offline

// *Action: Restore access to the device

    OS error

    Oracle is victim; not culprit

    thanks sb92075 for quick reply,

but i can access records from some table the error occurred at the time when i select from some tables only , so how can we say that Device on which the file resides is probably offline,

you do not have to convince me of anything.

The issue is between you & the OS.

errors are thrown because a problem exists; whether you acknowledge it or not.

i totally agree with you sir,

i just ask about device offline because may be i cant understand it properly as i am newbie .

i also checked the hardware storage disk by os check disk utility but can't find any solution.

Let me now search on net for this type os error,

some one help me if they have any solution for this type of os error,

and thanks sb92075 for your support and help.
