    How to change border style for list items in apex

    Sruthi Tamiri

      Hi All,

      We have created a few select list items in Apex and users are requesting to make changes to border.

      I have tried in different ways, but was not able to make changes, could some help me how we can change teh border style to Apex list items.The approach was by used by us

      Under HTML Form Element Attributes -> style="border: 1px solid #E5E4E2;" [ I have mention this way] but no luck.

      Regards,

      Sruthi Tamiri.

          APEX version?

          Theme?

          Browser(s)/version(s) used?

          (Always provide this information when asking a question on the forum.)

              It is not possible to modify the appearance of select list borders in IE7.

              To style the borders of all select list items on a page in other browsers, include the following style sheet in the page HTML Header:

              .formlayout select {
                border: 1px solid #E5E4E2;
              }

              APEX 3.2 is out of support and IE7 is obsolete. Upgrading to the current versions is recommended.

                Hi,

                Thanks for help, i have tried in other browsers, it has working, but instead of showing to all select list, users are requesting now to have make changes to particular select list items rather than entier list.

                i.e, in our application we have created list having Labe as manadatory fields

                Under each item we can see Label tab

                Label : Say Country

                Template : Required Label

                Now i have to apply those format only for required Label, not for entire drop down list.

                Another doubt, if we try to upgrade higher version for IE, then it will work for us as requested users.

                Regards,

                Sruthi tamiri!!

                  Hi All,

                    I had resolved the problem by calling each class to corresponding items and called that items to reflct that inour HTML header page.

                  Regards,

                  Sruthi tamiri!!

                    How did you do that?

                    It probably will, but depending on the implementation there could be problems due to the use of the legacy quirks mode theme 12.
