On the materials that aren't showing children, do you have context selected where you used the output as an input in the UI?
Kelly, I am not exactly certain of what you are asking. The materials that are missing their formula child have attributes of Formula Outputs and Referenced - Product and the formula is contained on the Related Specs tab in the Produced by field. To me, that means we have formulation context and the child formula and its input materials should be viewable in H-Nav. We do not have those sub-materials related to a trade spec (label says context, if that is what you are asking about) because it is a subcomponent of the Unpackaged material. I can send pictures, the excel download or open an SR. We see two layers of our formuation, the main formula does breakdown into the next level of sub-formulas, but after the first two layers, all we get is the input materials components, without further sub-formulation and raw material inputs at that third layer. Could this be a bug instead of a configuration issue?
Do you have any additional pointers that we could try for this? We have demonstrations scheduled and we are uncertain of how to explain the situation to users.
When you use the referenced output of one formula inside another formula you will need to select context inside the inputs grid. A drop down will appear in the inputs cell where you can select the forumulation. This is the formulation denorm uses to find the appropriate children. If no context is selected the system doesn't know where to go and treats it as a standard input stopping at that level.
If context is set and the system still isn't finding children go ahead and file an SR.
Let me know if you need me to email a screenshot.
Yep. That took care of our primary concern. Thanks! --BeckieC
