    CPU oct 2013 EBS patches

    User348186

      I have applied the Oct patches for the EBS envirnoment..  DB: 11.2.0.3 and EBS: 12.1.2,(ATG:12.1.3)I have applied the  CPU Database patch: 16902043(solaris) and the EBS patch: 17203944(Linux), do I need to apply the patch(july) for 10.1.3 oracle home-- 16802901.

      Going through the read me, I  see the patch installs UIX libraries, but in  $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/applications, I dont see any directory ascontrol,I see only the ascontrol.ear file.

      In EBS enivirnoment,do we need to apply the patches for 10.1.3 oracle home?

          You need to apply all the patches mentioned in (Oracle E-Business Suite Releases 11i and 12 Critical Patch Update Knowledge Document (October 2013) (Doc ID 1585639.1)).

          For Patch 16802901, source the 10.1.3 env file and apply the patch using "opatch napply" command -- https://updates.oracle.com/Orion/Services/download?type=readme&aru=16385668#CBBEIHIE

          And yes, in EBS you need to apply the patches for 10.1.2 and 10.1.3 ORACLE_HOMEs.

          Thanks,

          Hussein

            Thanks for your reply Hussein.

            I checked the readme of 16802901, it states about the  UIX libraries in the Fusion Middleware.

            In this MT CPUJul2012 or later has not been previously applied.

            But in my envirnoment after sourcing to 10.1.3, I dont have the folder ascontrol in $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/applications/.

            I see only the ascontrol.ear file, in $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/applications.

            :->ls ascontrol*

            ascontrol.ear

            What should be my locations of <uix_library_loc> <uix_resource_loc>

            I see the 'uix' under $ORACLE_HOME/uix/cabo/jsLibs.

            The file uix2.jar, is under-$ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/oafm/applications/ascontrol/ascontrol/WEB-INF/lib/uix2.jar

              It should be ..

              uix_library_loc --> 10.1.3 $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/oafm/applications/ascontrol/ascontrol/WEB-INF/lib

              uix_resource_loc --> 10.1.3 $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/oafm/applications/ascontrol/ascontrol

              If you wonder why it's oafm, please see "Architecture" section in (Starting up AS10g services in an EBusiness Suite Release 12 environment (Doc ID 743518.1)).

              Thanks,

              Hussein
