Unable to install Oracle enterprise scheduler extentions.

After installing Jdeveloper Studio Edition Version, we need to install the extensions for Oracle enterprise scheduler (ESS). But we are unable to to install the ESS extensions through the Jdev-->help--> check for updates tab. Though we have provided the path for the following xml viz "fusion_apps_updatecenter.xml", the extension for ESS does not show up in the dialog box. Can someone provide some clarity in order to install the ESS extensions. Also, do we require the ADF extensions or any other SOA based extensions in order to, create an ESS based application. It would be great if someone could help us with the steps to deploy an ESS based application. Kindly help, as we have followed all the steps mentioned in oracle docs in order to create an ESS based project. Thanks in advance.
