I am trying to use an ACFS volume, that is shared via NFS, as a storage reository for my Oracle VM cluster. I have done that prior by using iSCSI targets off of my ASM/ADVM volumes and I have been quite happy with them. However, I wanted to explore the possibilities running via NFS so I set up a general-purpose ACFS using asmca.
However, it seems that the ACFS volume can't handle sparse files at all, which results in a severe performance issue on the OVM storage repository. So, my question is, can anybody confirm that ACFS can handle sparse files?
