Planning vs. Essbase security in Shared Services (v. and v.

Hello. Is there a way in either Planning v. or v. to restrict access via Shared Services so that a user is forced to access Planning data in Excel Smartview via a Planning form and that user is unable to access the Essbase cube directly and perform ad-hoc queries? We're trying to enforce process and data governance so that users have to execute their updates and queries via planning forms in SmartView so that calc manager rules are executed, etc.
