I'm trying to run Scene Builder on an XP machine with 2GB RAM. When I run the program I get an error "Failed to create JVM".
Searching for this error mostly points to Eclipse solutions where the parameters -Xxx can be reduced to use less memory. I cannot find anything similar for Scene Builder.
If I start Windows in safe mode, the base load of programs drops from ~600MB to 50MB and Scene Builder will start and it only seems to use 90MB of RAM.
It seems that if I can get the program to request less RAM it will run. Does anybody have any suggestions as to how I can do this?
Thanks in advance,
In the registry:
The key -/Xmx was set to 999m. I changed it to 512m and Scene Builder runs.
Hope it helps somebody else.
