Fatal Error in Fusion Middleware Configuration Wizard

    0xFAFF

I am trying to create a new SOA domain. I start the configuration wizard under WebLogic Server 11gR1 --> Tools

      Select Create New Weblogic Domain

      Select Oracle SOA Suite

      Specify Domain Name

      Set WebLogic Password

      Select JRocket SDK 1.6.0_29

      Development mode

      Click Next

"A fatal error has occurred. This application will terminate."

      Fusion Middleware 11.1.1.7

      Any ideas please?

To create soa domain try this:

          go to  Middleware_Home/oracle_soa/common/bin/

and run config.cmd. Then configure soa domain.

If you can't find the cause for this (possibly permissions related on the underlying o/s - but that's only a guess), you could either try running the install with a different java home or, failing that, run it in console mode whereby you'll enter the necessary info from the command line. Console mode may be achieved by adding the mode switch when launching config.sh when creating the domain.

              Hi,

Open a terminal/cmd window and exec config.cmd/config.sh including -log=logfile at the end of the command line... You will then hopefully see some errors in the logfile...

              Cheers,

              Vlad

                Hi, thanks for the tip.

                Logfile shows the following error:

                  Hi,

Firstly, try run config.cmd from Oracle Common (rather than the one in Weblogic tools)...

                  %MIDDLEWARE_HOME%\oracle_common\common\bin\config.cmd

If that doesn't work, then you probably have an installation problem... Please notice that SOA Suite 11.1.1.7 requires Weblogic 10.3.6...

Have a look into this document...

                  http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23104_01/download_readme_ps6/download_readme_ps6.htm

                  Cheers,

                  Vlad

Yes, you're right. I had the wrong version of weblogic, my mistake.

                    Thanks.
